Episode 8 - Eccentric Empresses
Queen Victoria's reign lasted just shy of 65 years and during this time her health and her people were, if not obedient, at least able to be maintained. Other ruling ladies were not so fortunate. While these Empresses were not celebrated by any gold or diamond jubilees, we humbly offer them one of Lithium. Erin's Empress, Elisabeth of Bavaria (Sisi) suffered from a poor constitution and severe ennui, only finding relief when she was as far from the throne and her husband as possible. Oddly, but not all that surprising given the very narrow arboretum containing the royal family tree, Jon's chosen princess is a sister in law to Sisi, despite her empire being all the way in Mexico. Jon commiserates with the Empress Carlota, who certainly would have, had she could have.
